Most of you are probably know what a music box sounds like, but in case you don't, here is an example:

I can't explain why, but every time I hear one of these an overwhelming sense of sadness comes over me. It doesn't matter whether the song is cheerful or sad, it still happens.

Is there some sort of neurological perception to the particular sound waves connected to the music box that could be making an overwhelming mix of sentimentality and sadness occur when this sound happens?

Do others here feel the same?

I'm just curious so any responses are appreciated.
