Are there any albums from the past that you like better now compared to when it first came out?
One that I can think of, which I am listening to right now is the soundtrack from "Batman" by Prince. When it first came out I thought that it was so-so because at the time I was comparing all of Prince's new albums to "Purple Rain." However, now I'm hearing this album for what it is... and which, in my opinion, is pure genius.
The REM records post Monster. I kind of stopped listening to them after that record. Once they disbanded, I started going back to those records, and they are actually good. Specially Adventures in Hi FI and Reveal.

That kind of happened to me with the Aretha Franklin/George Michael duet, "I Knew You Were Waiting" which was so-so back in the day, but I heard it somewhere on the radio recently and it sounded really great!
Disco. Hated it back in the day, I was a teen into rock, punk, metal, and new wave. As I aged I started to like it more, I dont mind most of it now.
That's cool. Also, even though disco is considered dead and I can tell that a lot people at this forum don't like disco, there are still some disco songs that I still like. But perhaps I can start a thread on that one day.
I'm going back a few years here, heh, actually a few decades.
The early Quicksilver Messenger Service's lp's were classics, particularly their 2nd lp-Happy Trails. When Nicky Hopkins joined the group in 1970 the bands sound was changed forever. Hopkins was one of the best session keyboard guys going in the late 60's, and when Shady Grove was released in August of 1970, man--that took a little time for me to get used to them. But I eventually did. QMS went on to record five more lp's in the 1970's before calling it a day for good in 1976.
