Robbie Robertson has a couple of good efforts of note. He was co-founder of one of the major Rock groups of the '60s and '70s, The Band. They broke up in 1976, reformed in 1983, without Robertson. He has four solo LP's out, his best two IMO are Music For The Native Americans and Contact From the Underworld of Redboy. Born in Ontario and his Mom a Mohawk, he is also involved in music production in a long list of movies including The Last Waltz, produced by Martin Scorsese. I absolutely recommend the last Waltz, get the dvd as well as cd. Rolling Stone magazine has him listed among the top 100 guitarists in rock history.

From the northern end of Quebec, these guys were pretty damn solid. They performed in their native Innu-aimun language which is spoken by a total of about 10,000 people. I got to know them through CBC radio about 20 yrs ago. Quite glad I did!

You mean pow wow? Could be a little play on words happening there. Hmmm... Cajun, I'm considering that. They do live in a French speaking province and since I know so little about Cajun music, I guess it's very possible. How similar Is Cajun to Zydeco?

Absolutely agreed!
His first solo album was an MTV favorite back in the day when MTV still played music. You can probably find the videos on youtube. But Contact from the Underworld of Redboy is probably his best.
I'm sorry guys, I couldn't resist. Please carry on.
Of course we all chuckled!!
P.S. If I start to sound like one of the Peanut characters, it's because I'm comong down with a cold. Oh, that's right, you guys can't actually hear me-phew! Or, HAH HAH CHOOOOOOOOOO!
