Alright, here's where you get to list your favorite funky bands and songs from any decade. P-funk, Sly Stone, Bootsy Collins, whatever you like. Also funk-inspired bands such as Red Hot Chili Peppers and Maroon 5 can be listed here.
Can't talk funk without mentioning the king, Mr. James Brown! Listening to him right now, matter of fact. We can't forget Rick James, either.
Has anyone ever heard of Chuck Brown? He had a pretty funky tune back in the 70s("Bustin' Loose"). Or how about Bohannan ("Let's Start the Dance"). Hard to sit still when those are on.
Fave is Parliament/Funkadelic!
Had most of the Parliament stuff and 2-3 Funkadelic cds.
Found the Mothership Connection Double album set a few years ago!
I was hoping it still had the Iron-on inside!it didnt
Oh yeah... Parliament/Funkadelic(Has to be on everyone's list), The Brothers Johnson (How could you have forgotten them?), Teena Marie (If "Squre Biz" comes on, I'll dance with ANY girl that asks - reguardless of the girls looks), Red Hot Chili Peppers (Probably my favorite band - Flea on bass).
