Hello Everybody !!
I want to buy an OVATION Guitar. But I don't know which one is good to buy. Celebrity or the Multi-Sound Hole. I am looking for the guitar's price range from 200-400 $.

Can anybody give me suggestions. What do you think about the Ovation Guitars? Are they Good?

I don't remember the guy who sold me a Balladeer back in 1981, but I wish I did so I could thank him big time. I got more mileage out of that instrument than any other I've owned. This was a plain old, deep dish, conventional guitar without built-in electronics - I used a mic or a Dean Markley insert for more volume, but it was rarely necessary. These are strong instruments that resonate very well - I never went for the shallow ones, but that's a matter of taste and mine ain't perfect. I hammered on that thing for over a decade and ended up giving it away. Last I knew she was still going. I'd buy another but the really good ones have gotten rather pricey. A good friend of mine won't consider any other brand. He's got about 8 of them.

I have only played on 2. They are nice but I don't like the round plastic like back, it slide and faces up while your playing.

I had to travel for a job for over a year, picked up a used Yamaha w/ hardshell case for about $250. It wasn't my Taylor, but it wasn't bad at all.

Plenty of good guitars in that range.

The back isn't plastic...but I see your point. It's some space age material used on jets.

Anyway...guitar center sells an Ovation Celebrity for $300...and from what I hear, it is well worth it.

You may also want to try craigslist.com to see if anyone in your area is selling one for a decent price.
