Just briefly looking at that last few lists... I guess all of you guys are fans of Nickelback since they didn't hit your list... wow. I guess I can't trust your tastes.
Bah, I'm personally indifferent to them.. where exactly did we say we liked Nickelback?

There's an infinite ammount of garbage out there that somehow passes as music. The exclusion of a particular band from a list does not mean that an individual likes them. It can mean several things. Personally, I simply picked five prominant bands that irritate me whenever I hear them on the radio. Sure station changers (or mute button) whenever they come on.
As far as Brokenside, or whatever the name was, my 14 year old in HS has never even heard of them. Then again, his tastes in music are somewhat different than many of his peers, as he tends to prefer a lot of the music he grew up listening to that we played around the house.
You people must not have heard the Kinks before, like, their real songs. Not their hits. Ray Davies is regarded as one of the best lyricists in the biz.
My least fav: U2- insanely overrated pompous douchebags. YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAAAH Led Zeppelin - Stolen Material, made money of idiots. Paramore - Oh come on, now. Oasis - Annoying, some stolen music, Blur is much better Dragonforce - Wow man, totally wicked riff. Metallica - Boring songs, all sound the same. Annoying members. Bad Religion - Overly wordy when unnecessary. Near identical songs, hilarious solos Any rapper that goes "OOOOOOOOOO!" repeatedly in their song Guns N Roses - Wouldnt' have even have thought of them if Chinese Demo. didn't come out. Man, what an awful band. Anyone buying this album- well I didn't hear it, but I can definitely tell you that you're making a mistake.
I don't know- I can't name anymore because I don't listen to bands that I don't like...
I don't know what Dragonforce is but still this is a great list.....And I actually used to like LZ in high school back when I thought "squeeze my lemon until the juice runs down my leg" was a clever lyric.
And as far as Metallica goes I used t like them too in the eighties, but then Lars Ulrich would not just shut up. Talk about small man big mouth syndrome.
I seen some of my faves on other people's lists -- Here are mine:
My Morning Jacket
Rush
Pink Floyd
Death Cab for Cutie
Cobra Starship
Bullet for My Valentine (and all those other 'scene/hardcore' type bands)
Wilco (I would be willing to trade them out for Queens of the Stone Age LOL)
The Flaming Lips
System of a Down, Godsmack etc. (majority of 'Nu-metal' bands)
Bright Eyes
Just to help you out with classification...
- Bullet For My Valentine is not a "scene/hardcore" band. They are a metal band. I love "scene/hardcore" bands i.e. Asking Alexandria, Poison the Well, etc.
- System of a Down and Godsmack are hard rock acts, not Nu-Metal. Heck, Godsmack is essentially a Alice in Chains knockoff. For Nu-Metal see bands like Limp Bizkit, Korn, Linkin Park, etc.

TY but my point was, I hate those bands. :P
