For some reason this week the song I can't stop thinking about is Tracy Chapman's, "Fast Car." I think the music is very soothing in what seems like a week full of turmoil in so many areas of life.
Also, I think the lyrics touch on so many areas of life where many have survived and emerged stronger. Some of those themes have been touched on here by newer members, recently. Comments, which were very sincere and moving to me when I read them.

(not that anyone here wrote about alcoholism in their family. Think of the unique struggles in your family, which may or may not be alcoholism.) The message, IMHO, is still the same: who leaves and who stays when life doesn't turn out like we thought it would?
And from whom or what sources do some people find a way to pull themselves up from whatever their circumstances are?

Then, the reflective lyrics:

I think, Nat, I'd just like to listen to some music with you and talk some about life. Not that there is anything wrong with dancing etc., we "Phantom Phans" just have some things in common.
