(for wee ones) a softer crash cushion than the
ground as they run, wherever their mind takes

... chuckles... mind floats in an easy manner...
empty bits of food then take the way back near
a pond... see various naked people relaxing and
realizing nobody except Ms. Rare knows me here...
strips down... dives into the refreshing cold...
...materialism... breaks surface... some things to ask now...
once back we talk as the music continues... we
talk while hiking back to our tent... night has
descended and still I have more questions... we
talk 'gainst a growing backdrop of stars... she
tells me 'bout the land movement... communal
living... her work with the diggers...
... on and on... finally satisfied... I lay back on
a bed roll ...gazes up at the possibilities sprinkling
the skies... she softly sings with the crickets and

I only want to comment on what a great great song you reminded me of with Scott McKenzie. "If your going to San Francisco" That song truely defines the greatest generation of humans to ever walk the earth. It also defines and identifies a sub culture of Hippys and Beatnicks who if left to meet their goals, would have made a better world for all of us.
Scott looks so young in that youtube pic. Today he is a large man with all white hair, still very long and a big bushy white beard. Scott is good friends with Rob Grill from The Grassroots. I seen The Grassroots about 2 years ago when Scott McKenzie was suppose to open. He got sick or whatever happened so I never seen him perform. The show was not a total loss for me. I love The Grassroots and I got the whole band to sign an 8X11 photo of the band for me. That photo and one other signed by Reba McEntire are the only 2 Artists to grace my wall.
Oh what a great ol song. I am still a long haired hippy today and would trade my left nut to go back to 1967 again. The music, the kindlness, free love and most of all.......rock and roll. Real music !!!

emotions... cannot explain this desperation... and I
am not the only one of my generation that "feels" it...
There are underground groups who pretend to be
Janis... or Jimi... etc... there is a "spiritual awakening"
of some sort... an uncontrollable "need" ... cannot
explain... like a real living ache... I wish I could give
it a voice... but it lives inside too deep and raw... ::

Greetings Moonshadow! ... Nu-Metal is a thing
to behold at times... I sung loud and clear and
also paid close attention to the pokee and that
sizzler of a chair... chains and the like... calm
down any fantasy of mayhem quick but also
you were right! Singing this song did make
a body feel better... Thanks for posting it

There were a lot of very good nu metal songs that got me through some rough days and if I need to get it out now or someone I care about needs a release I usually get them to play it.
These two are also really good cathartic songs! (and currently what I'm listening to. so crank them and sing out loud and make your own mosh!
