Children on the night! .. Haaaaahaaaa Eva O's song several boys go
find beach towels to partially block out the morning light.. temporarily
re-created a Goth Mood..

candels are lit.. I give up& just try and chug a lug my chicken soup..
surprised its me who's worried we're gonna git it from the landlord for
bein loud at 8:50am Sunday mornin! Haaaaahaaaaaaaa!!!

meanwhile.. shouts of My Heart! My Heart! (Danse Society)

checkin Joax's songs.. Yep.. Synthpop is popular with the CyberGoth

Andrea Parker - Breaking The Code

YouTube - Andrea Parker - Breaking The Code

Smile! Hey I like Bullet better too! but it was shy's pick.. I played Bullet
though in the with feelins thread . What is the Goth scene like in
Sweden? ..

most around here are dark symp metal fans with operatic overtones..
because of the theatrical composition & dramatic arrangements between
orchestration&voice..

Lacrimosa - Nachtschatten

YouTube - Lacrimosa - Nachtschatten

A way to feel free.. to explore femininity/masculinity without someone
dictatin what its suppose to look like or feel like or whats attractive..

Evanescence - Lacrymosa ( The Tudors - Goth )

YouTube - Lacrymosa (Evanescence) - The Tudors

Personally I love medieval dress-up with Corpse Paint& weird hair for
boys & all that stuff girls wear.. A feast of texture&color for the eyes!

And when you put it all together.. what an atmosphere!

RFSilver:
I wouldn't dare to say I know the Goth scene in Sweden. I grew up being a Synth in the late 90s and early 2000. Being a Synth was VERY different from the Goths, or at least so we thought. Even within the Synth community there was a lot of different sub-genres (body, pop, industry, "gas masks", etc). During the period when I was most active in the club scene there was a slight difference in the clubs for Goth/New Romantic and for Synth people. I have not been out that much lately so I don't know really what the scene is. Today every kid seem to be emo anyway...

To me Goth music seem to have more guitars and mellower lyrics than the Synth, even if the latter is not always true of course. I also know that some bands are hard to classify as one or the other. I guess the main difference that I remember between the Gothenburg Goths and the Synths is that the Goths had a more depressed image while the synths were much more cool (I'm not biased at all ).

Some of the bands I listen to:
welle:erdball
covenant
icon of coil
assemblage 23
mesh
and one
colony 5
VNV nation
front 242
elegant machinery
s.p.o.c.k
wolfsheim

YouTube - Colony 5 - Plastic World
I can't watch this Colony 5 video without laughing. Some people should not "act" on video... I like the song though.

The perfect song to dance to at a club (has to be played very loud).

YouTube - D A F Der Mussolini

And since you did ask me about the Goth scene in Sweden, here is two short videos from two Goth/Synth/"your pick of name" clubs. Unfortunately, these were the best I could find. The quality is quite poor.

Sorry, a bit of topic but I just have to share this one with you as well. Even though I do understand some German, I think this (misheard) lyric is funny. I actually think it becomes even funnier since I understand how far off the "new" lyric is.

^^^ WOW Joox! Crackin Up at Your Funny Video!!! Haaaaaaaaahaaaaaa!

I'm goin fast because my study group is gettin ready now BUT I'm impressed that you took the time to go indepth and
I REALLY appreciate it! I'll prolly be back in a couple days when I can really converse with you.

The Goth Scene here is just as varied with darkwave/death rock/
darkbeat/goth rock/ethereal goth/industrial/synthpop etc..

Thats why I put up a disclaimer.. Again Thank You so much for answerin my question.
