RFSilver: No problem. I happen to like talking music and music cultures. I find it quite fascinating how much difference there actually is between countries even within the same musical culture.

OMG authorities got it very wrong. Goth doesn't cut or hurt themselves.. emo kids do. Goth sees beauty&appreciation of the macabre and the
darkness.. It's like sayin Synth kids are into bombs.. and are anarckist..
TV drama.. kids are into their own stuff.. adults like to label to give em a
sense of control where there really isn't any.. I bet their kids tried to talk
to em too but of course they know all the answers.. so kids give up&
say just leave us alone!
Jim who's about to git busted for havin electronics in exam room
who's signalin me to git rid of it NOW!.. haaaaahaaa! So happy I broke some rules! Over&out!
Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, Joy Division / New Order, Ministry, Siouxsie & The Banshees are among the bands already mentioned that I liked back in the day. Haven't listened to much Goth or Industrial in awhile and hardly any of the newer stuff but if I get a better internet connection I'd probably listen to more Goth... and surf and other specialties on internet feeds that is not played much on US radio except on a few college / community stations.
These might not be considered Goth but I'll mention some other bands I liked anyways- The Cult, Curve, Black Sabbath, Sky Cries Mary, and Echo and the Bunnymen.
My Bloody Valentine, Dead Can Dance, The Cranes, The Church and Love Spirals Downwards are also names that come to mind who had some stuff I liked and some might consider somewhat Goth.
If the three videos above wouldn't be enough to ensure everyone that Synths are actually a sweet and friendly group of people (we just sometimes hide it quite well) - I'll add this song as well:
