Cool The Who, Harry Chapin, Jim Steinman Songs.......All To Honor aardvarks

aardvarks,

I didn't know you had started this thread. How cool is it to find so many people who like songs/artists that I do.

There are so many wonderful songs to include. One can focus on either bands and what their respective catalogues include, or themes, the same song done by different people, or try limiting to five different songs one would just like to hear at the time.

GREAT IDEA, aardvarks.

Let's see how close I can get on this. To honor you, aardvarks, for starting this thread, I will select five different artists/groups/composers and you can decide which song for each slot.

1. The Who .......

2. Genesis........

3. Harry Chapin..........

4. Bob Seger.............

5. Anything Written by Jim Steinman....

How did I do, aardvarks?

Now to dream of my 5 X 5 sets of songs I'd play................what a great thought. So glad to be alive now with so many memories and choices in music.

Just 5 huh, aardvarks? You'll probably know the artists before I pick them.

Here goes in no specific order.

1. Stevie Nicks - Rhiannon - (so many, many great vids and versions it's hard to pick which one. This is from the new DVD released. I've watched it a lot the last few weeks. Stevie is strong in this performance).

YouTube - Stevie Nicks - Rhiannon - Soundstage 2008 - HQ part 9

2. Rush - Limelight

YouTube - Rush - Limelight (Live)

3. Heart - Alone

YouTube - Heart - Alone

4. Celine Dion - A New Day

YouTube - Celine.Dion. A New Day Has come Tour Live Part 1

5. Meat Loaf - Anything for You, as it was through an extensive discussion about Jim Steinman I met aardvarks.

YouTube - Meatloaf - I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)

On with the show.....
