Jay-Z created a song about how he wishes autotune it's timely and well-deserved demise:

YouTube - Jay-Z - Death OF Autotune [CD Quality]

What are your thoughts on this song? Does Jay-Z have a big enough influence to kill autotune with this song? Is this the song that finally sets things right in the world of Hip-Hop?

Is that the new word used now? Autotune? I guess timed poetry became politicly incorrect.

Ah maybe he just saw his following dying a slow death so had to come up with a new media story to win back fans. How sad. But let us know how it all turns out.

I dont know what autotune is but dang, this song is pretty good. I have no idea what he's saying or talking about, but the music (especially the guitar and horns) is HOT.

I heard it last week at a Malibu beach house BBQ and was wondering if it was new or old. The only other song I ever liked by JayZ was "Change the Game".

For those who don't know what Autotune is: Auto-Tune - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Or just listen to a Kayne West song. He "loves" using Autotune, which makes sense since he can't sing.

I wish Autotune would go away but it won't.

I despise Autotune. I can well understand why Kanye West, and other similarly tone-deaf people like it. I've seen it advertised as "pitch correction" in a gadget called the 'Harmonizer'.

One artist will never be able to take down an entire company that has become (sadly) the standard...
Antares has released an Auto-Tune plug-in now too....yuck.

Man. Everytime you open your mouth about hip hop, you show us how much you know little about it.

Anyway, the song NEEDED to be made and I and many out there are glad as well. Baby steps to get our music back to what it use to be.

Get music back to what it used to be? How old are you? You have no idea what real music is or what it used to be. Why would any song NEED to be made? Was the lyric writer threatened? Maybe the wrapper needed one more piece to complete the CD?

One thing is for sure, you kids have a whole language of your own.
