There have been released so many wonderful game soundtracks that I'd like to mention some great ones I've heard. I don't know how many people here used to play computer games back in the day but it would be nice to hear what your favorite game soundtracks are.
1) Mafia: The City Of Lost Heaven. Wonderful, smooth and thick atmosphere of the thirties.
Nice tune.
Btw. For justice sake I believe Russian developers should have created and released the similar game and called it say... "Stars and Stripes alert" Lol
The minute I saw the thread title I thought "Quake 2"
You could play the CD in your car (as long as you skipped the data track)
How freakin' cool is that?
I used to play Quake 2 a lot but my PC was too weak back in the day for this game. It was only AMD K5 PR166/16Mb RAM/1Mb SVGA with no 3D accelerator like Voodoo 3Dfx so everytime when I set resolution higher than 640x480 it was a complete slide show Lol Even with 320x240 the FPS was AFAIR lower than 25 FPS. But the soundtrack sure was great. Quake 1 had great soundtrack too. I also like Duke Nukem and Doom II soundtracks (despite I played Doom II on the computer with no speakers. So I listened to Doom II soundtrack for a first time only the other day.)
