My teen years ended in the spring of 1989. One of the last songs to hit the charts that spring was "Electric Youth" by Debbie Gibson. I took her talent for granted at the time, but in hindsight she was great compared to modern overrated singers like Taylor Swift who rely heavily on AutoTune Software. Debbie was real talent that was common before AutoTune was invented in the late 90s. I know about AutoTune as an engineer. Debbie is a great symbol of the Pre-AutoTune world of talent back in the 80s.
