I completely agree! They are definitely an overlooked and underappreciated group! I'll be digging out my cassettes of their albums, and who knows who else I'll find.
Nice knowing that i'm not the only one who still harbors cassettes from back in the day .

I have drawersful of them and several boxesful. They're rather disorganized, but I dream of getting them all in one place and in some sort of order. Back in the late Eighties and early Nineties, while working at the city newspaper, I used to get work finished early enough to take off to drive an hour to Terra Haute, where exists the wonderful Headstone Friends, painted with bright murals outside and inside a dimly lit echo of the Sixties' "head shops". They have it all: vinyl in LPs and 45s, the former gathered in orange crates; a few CDs; and a tableful of cardboard boxes filled with cassettes~for $2 each. That table is where I spent most of my time, as I was metal mad and couldn't find a variety in stores. You could return the cassettes for a trade-in of two for one, as I recall, but I never gave up any of the ones I purchased. BTW: They also have a blacklight room with posters, just like Penny Lane in Springfield, a place that is like stepping back into the Sixties/early Seventies; incense and various burners (dragons and other holders); unusual jewelry, especially of fantasy styles; and T-shirts. I've swiped more than one concert announcement from the billboard on the outside~ONLY when they are past. I dream of getting back there someday.

The guys said that they had this brilliant touch for the choreography: dropping to their knees. After a few takes, they realized that it wasn't so brilliant after all. *giggle* The drummer added that being on a moving stage as it was raised up then lowered was rather unnerving. ~~~ RIP Jani Lane
