Who's better - America or Bread?

They're both really good bands and it's really hard to say which band I like better but I would have to say America cause their music is more diverse

I like both but bread had more hits then america including 2 of my many 70's favorites guitar man & make it with you.

America was more akin to early Eagles. Acoustic alt/country. Both became overnight sensations at about the same time, but the Eagles went on to become one of the biggest bands anywhere. Bread seemed more a sentimental ballad type of band with perhaps an exception or two. David Gates had an incredible voice that was flat out made for this type of music. I have a couple from each in my collection and if nailed to the wall would choose... America. They just had a back road feel for me.
