don't buy from portrait home, i did in little river sc @ carolina crossing and just received a letter from them saying they were pulling out they lost financing and now we are left with the mess

wow that is horrible. Although I have heard of many builders these days going bankrupt, mostly because they have overbuilt and borrowed too much. Moderator cut: tos violation

i was going to look at a couple of communities that portrait offers in your area and they still send me info even as recently as last week. thanks for your imput and hope things workout for you. trying to move down your way as well and have concerns looking at communities that are being built by builders who seem to be struggling to stay in business in these tough times

Default No closing today

I was buying a townhouse in DFW area and Portrait Homes called yesterday at 4:30pm and said I couldn't close!! Should I be Happy???

Default portrait homes

I am close to buying from Portait Homes in Riverbend. I am concerned about the their SC bankupcy and how it will affect their warranties, HOA payments and the completion of the community. How specific were they on these type of issues when they pulled out
