We're now in our Summer weather pattern. There are significant differences in the temperature and rainfall between coastal and inland areas.

It's something people who are moving here permanently need to consider. It affects local climates dramatically. It also affect real estate prices.

Today is a good example. The high on the coast will be 88. The high inland will be 94. As the day progresses, rain will form over the inland areas by mid afternoon producing torrential showers while the coast will stay clear or only receive small localized showers.

This happens all Summer. Conversely it switches in the Winter with the coastal areas being warmer and the inland areas being cooler. The gulf temperature is the great moderator. The close you live to the coast, the more moderate the climate.

Regards

Beth
