We have had 4 power failures this morning, at 4:15, 5:22, 6:25, and 7:10. Each was accompanied by a loud bang from down the street. There could well be more failures, they seem to happen every hour or so. So I tried to contact Florida Power and Light. FAT CHANCE!!!!!

Those clowns don't want to hear from you at all, ever! I tried calling their "customer service" number, and found it was a customer rejection number in reality. Endless recordings and phone trees that get you nowhere.

So while the power was on I tried reporting the outages online at their website, gave them the address as they asked, and they checked our Smart meter, said the power was on and promptly ditched me.

Wow! How are you supposed to get on their website to report recurring outages if the power is off????? Excuse me???? WHAT CAN THOSE ASSCLOWNS POSSIBLY BE THINKING????

Well there was no storm this morning, but something was certainly wrong. I'm in north Naples at 41 and Wiggins Pass. Our water goes out a lot too, no notice, it's just gone and no telling when it will come back on. I've stored a lot of water. The power has stayed on since the last outage at 7:10 am.

Seems pretty clear that FPL doesn't want to hear from it's customers at all. "We don't care, we don't have to, we're the power company!"

I'm Airport Rd by Orange Blossom and my transformer blew 4 times this am, lost power each time and our went out right around 7:10 too, we've had it on since.. Weird! We've had our water go out a small handful of times but nothing significant. The power is annoying though. On their website, at least when I use my phone they have a place to notify its out and get texts on updates as far as when crews are there and what the expected time it will be back on

I'm not sure it's a transformer blowing, I googled that and what I found was that it's a fuse blowing that makes that loud bang. Sounded like a gunshot here. If you had this happening that far south of me it must have been something affecting the grid over a wide area. You are 4.6 miles from me, and for a fuse to blow at the same time (7:10) as it did here means whatever was going on was pretty big. I can find nothing at all online about it.

One of these days, Florida will figure out this newfangled electricity thing!

I stopped resetting the VCR clocks long before they were obsolete, due to the frequency of power failures.

Mine was flickering again this AM. Cut my Internet and my phone out. This is growing old with all these power outages. There was not a storm today to blame it on.

Welcome to FL.....

As I said before, the state is still struggling with this cutting edge technology called electricity.
