Do you know if there is a limit to how many house guests I'm allowed to have in my condominium that I own? I have four bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths and I was told it's a Collier County Law that I am only allowed 8 people to stay in my condo.

You must read your rules and regulations for the condo association. If it doesn't state it in the rules and regs, I would call the HOA directly and ask.

It's not listed in my rules and regs, but at any rate they are telling me it's a Collier County regulation. I'm not leasing my condo... I'm just having personal friends of mine join me for 2 days. I own the unit and wanted to host 10 friends... two on a pull out couch, plus 2 each in the four bedrooms. Could this really be a Collier County law?

You should check and see. It would be a code or regulation, not a law. Yes, it is possible they have such regulations. Who is telling you about this regulation?

I read my rules and regulations for my building and it was not in there. At any rate, my building supervisor of maintenance was the person who told me and he said it was a Collier County regulation and not the buildings. My 30 year old daughter had a group of 9 women staying in our condo for two nights. He was taken back by people he didn't know strolling by the front desk with suitcases. They told him which unit they were going to and that they had a key and that the owners daughter was in the next cab 10 minutes away. He then called me and asked if I was aware people were staying at my condo. I told him yes, it was my daughter and friends. He then told me we were only allowed 8 people in our unit due to this Collier County regulation, which I can not find. I asked an attorney and off the top of their heads they said if there was a regulation it would apply to occupants and not visitors. I think it just hit him funny that these people strolled past him. I just want to make sure there is no regulation.

Well if there is a place to review the codes and it isn't in there then probably misinformed. Maybe, panicked a group might be moving in... lol. Should have had them speaking spanish that would have sent him over the edge I am sure. Try these.
