You might want to check the apartments on St. Andrews - just south of I-24 off of Rt 96. I am not sure what the price range is but it is close to the interstate and I have heard that they are nice.

Also check out the Smyrna area (Exit 66) there is two large, gated apartment complexes. Would put you about 20-30 minutes to Nashville and the same to MTSU. Also, the complexes are close to everything you would need, restaurants, shopping, movies....
