HA. What a good question.

I grew up not too far from Nashville, across the state line and moved away from the South in 1990. Going home to see family in the summer is always a shock. We're preparing to return to the South in a few months - I have a feeling I'm in for a rude awakening in terms of adjusting to the humidity.

As much as I complain about it – it’s really been easier to get used to then I ever thought in the first year or two.

If you are out in it (running, golfing, even working if you are well hydrated), it’s miserable but you get over it. Everyone is in the same boat. If you are inside, from the car to the office is bad, but not a big deal. It’s when you have to be in-and-out, in-and-out, in-and-out ...say unloading the car, at a wedding, or other activities that have you dressed for everyday life but outside for not-as-short-as-you-had-hoped and you find yourself sticking to everything. That’s not a pretty picture.

It’s nothing like the arid climate of southern California, but then again – I love the green and the season they call “Spring” out here quite a bit :-)

I have relatives that moved to Nashville from SOCAL & they tell me the humidity isn't bad all summer long, mostly in Aug & that it really doesn't bother them. I don't know if they were telling me that to get me to move out there or not!!
I was there last June & didn't really notice it.

Usually the humidity isn't too bad in June...late July and August are the worst times usually.

I've lived here my entire life and the humidity is too much for me from April through early October.

I think we have had enough of the white stuff for this winter.

Yeah, I actually wouldn't mind a little bit of summer right now.
