With the closing of David Kidd in the Mall at Green Hills, can anyone suggest other large bookstores in the area?

Thanks

amazon.com is as close as it gets. They bring it to your door.

Books-A-Million in the Nashville West shopping center is good.

Sadly, it DOES look like Amazon is it . . Both Davis Kidd bookstores are closed, and a big one in Chattanooga is gone as well. What a shame. There IS a cool little bookstore in Franklin: landmarkbooksellers.com

There's always Borders on West End, or the ones in Cool Springs and Brentwood.

Browsing in big bookstores is so much fun. I do order online when I want a specific title.

I haven't been to the Borders on West End near Vandy. It looks smaller from the street than most Borders.

I wasn't aware of the Books A Million and never heard of Landmark. I will have to google it.

Borders on West End isn't necessarily huge, but I don't remember it being much if any smaller than Davis Kidd in Green Hills. That said, I didn't go into Davis Kidd that often, so my memory may be faulty (as is often the case, hah!)

The Davis Kidd was 2 floors which made it larger than it actually seemed at first glance.
