I think that Sears Outlet (former Walmart) strip mall/retail center needs a total overhaul akin to what is going on at the new Kroger/old K Mart area. It would take a major anchor tenant like Kroger to come in and refit the entire strip. Which means it isn't likely anytime soon. Maybe the fitness center is a decent enough draw, I don't know, but I always forget about that area. Maybe if I lived closer I wouldn't, but it seems like it's twisting in the wind compared to the rest of Hendersonville.

Planet Fitness always has a lot of cars. They must be doing very well. And around New Years, the entire parking lot is completely full.
Sears Outlet is redoing the exterior right now, adding some brick and whatnot. They recently painted it.

Has anyone heard any updates about the Mellow Mushroom that is supposed to be going in the old Mimi's location? When it was announced the article said it was expected to open in April. I do not see it listed on the MM website as an upcoming location.

I reached out to the reporter last week. Here's what she said:
"The last I have heard is that they will begin remodeling in September. I haven’t confirmed this yet though, but I have been told they are still planning to move into the old Mimi’s building – just not on the timeline they originally gave."
