I don't know much about them, but there are two or three senior apartment places in the Bellevue area. Ashley Green and Deerfield (Deerwood?) are two of them. Bellevue is within your 30-minute range. There's also that senior high-rise in Green Hills.

Diane, I may have the perfect situation for your friend looking for an apartment for her Mom. I just sold my real estate company. I live in Brentwood on Franklin Rd just 1 mile off I-65. I will be staying home with my 87 yr old Mom (Alzheimer's). My home has a very nice furnished 600/sf in-law suite with a separate entrance. I am offering it to a senior citizen for $3,000/mo. That includes meals, internet, and I will be here 24/7 caring for my mother, and for the senior citizen that moves in that unit as our "roommate". I had a care taker for my Mom that is moving out now. I was paying the care taker $3,000/mo. I decided to just stay home and take care of Mom myself + take in another "patient" to supplement my income. Please contact me with the name and number of your friend. It's a little more than she anticipated, but I think she will love this set up. THANKS! My home/office is 615-373-5417.

$3,000/month for a senior citizen? Most are on fixed incomes and that is what double what most families pay for rent of a whole house.
