How can I find out who's moving to Murfreesboro? half backs from FLorida? If so, Orlando or tampa? New jersey or North Carolina fleeing high taxes? Is there a website that has these statistics? Thanks!

You should contact their Office of Economic Development. They should know right away because this info is trackable through income tax records.

That map did nothing but freeze my computer. I myself would also like to learn about the subject as I don't know much about it so more input would be appreciated by everyone.

The map shows that in 2010 the majority of people moving into Rutherford County came from Florida, Southern California and Michgan.

Some came from Chicago area, Virginia Beach, Ohio, northern Indiana, Wisconsin and the Atlanta area. But many folks moved there from other TN counties too.

Yeah, but Murfreesboro has over 100,000 people. It has to be much more than just a college town right?

Yes, of course it is.

Many people have transferred there with companies like Nissan, and some who work for other companies, like State Farm, Asurion, Verizon and the expanded Middle TN Medical Center, move to Rutherford for more affordable homes and good schools.

The previous poster (MKed) is just all excited because he found a new online forum to play on, but he's spreading a ton of misinformation.

I moved here from FL and I know many who did as well. None of us because of MTSU. Most of the people I know from FL came here to get away from what FL has become.
