Tis the Season!

We are looking for a good choose and cut Christmas tree farm. We tried one last year and they didn't have a very good selection.

Any recommendations?

Here's a few nice lists:

Welcome to Pick Tennessee Products.

Christmas Tree Farms: Where in Tennessee to find choose-and-cut Christmas trees, Tree lots with pre-cut trees, stands, sleigh rides, hay rides and related winter events and fun!

Went to Blackjack Farm's two years ago, and they had a decent selection. I think due to our climate, the pickings are limited to a few variations of trees. I imagine as you go east into higher elevations, you will find a wider variety.

When I lived in Northern CA, the Forestry service offered a Christmas Tree permit you could buy. It was $10 at the time and you could cut a tree down anywhere on federal land. Millions of acres. One of the few things I miss now after leaving/fleeing the state.

Let us know what you end up with and your experience.

While searching around, it appears that Land Between Lakes is offering a free tree permit per family (cedar trees). Hard to beat that if you don't mind a cedar.

This placein Crossville looks nice:
