Can anyone recommend a good locally based rental house/apartment management company in the Nashville area?

Also, can anyone recommend any local or regional banks or credit unions? I'm currently with a large national bank and they don't have any branches in the Nashville area so I will be switching. Specifically, I'm looking for a bank/credit union that gives a return of 2-5%.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts!

Wow, if you find a bank/credit union that pays 5% - LET ME KNOW!!!!

I think for rentals your best bet is to go to realtracs.com. Click on the county you are looking to rent in (Nashville is in Davidson County, Franklin is in Williamson County). Then select RENTAL and fill in your price range. When you look at the rental properties, you will see links to the listing agent - contact them for other possibilities.

Good Luck!

Thanks, CountryGirl! And if I find a bank out that that's offering a high percentage, I will post on here.

I did a Google Search for "high bank savings interest" and the best I could find was .75%. I DO remember maybe the early 2000's that my Schwab money market account was paying 6%. Ah, those were the days!

If you close all the threads and go to the blue bar, far right, you'll see a "search this forum" option and if you type in "apartments" you'll find a lot of threads about apartment rentals. Be forewarned it's a very tight rental market at the moment (more people than apartments) and there's not much money to be made by any agents showing rentals . . . some may do it because they hope you will think of them when you want to BUY a place, but it's not very lucrative - unless maybe you have a very HIGH price point - $2500 plus maybe?????

You can always ask the board about areas of town . . . . questions about specific complexes are a crap shoot as there are so many of them!
