If any of you have lived in either Laurelbrook or Annadale or have family/friends that have, will you please share the good, the bad, and the ugly? Any insight would be appreciated. My wife and I are mid/late 30's with 3 kids ages 1,5, & 8. What reasons do we want to choose one over the other?

Thanks!!!

The only thought I have is location. Annandale is going to be considerably more convenient to quite a few things, and is in Brentwood city limits. Laurelbrooke is in unincorporated Williamson County (no city services).

Are you looking for convenience or (relative) isolation?

I'm not worried about the convenience so much. Annandale would obviously be more convenient, but the country feel in the area around Laurelbrooke is really appealing to us. We also love the lush feel of Laurelbrooke with all the trees and landscaping. We could go either way.

Just from looking at Google Earth, I can tell there are a lot of trampolines and playsets in Annandale so I know there must be a good number of kids there. It's harder to tell about Laurelbrooke because of all the trees. I think there will be more younger kids in Annandale which also means more parents close to the age of my wife and I. However, I feel like Laurelbrooke is a neighborhood we may want to stay in well after the kids are grown, maybe more so than Annandale.

I'm hoping to get some insight from people that currently have children in either neighborhood for feedback. I think either would be a great place to live and raise a family. We've been considering this move for several years. I just want to go in as informed as possible.

Thanks for the help!

The Laurelbrooke HOA may not allow trampolines and playsets, so that would affect a Google Earth search.

I'm pretty sure they do. We looked at a couple of houses two years ago in there that did. If they aren't supposed to be in there... we won't be in there! I wil not consider a neighborhood that doesn't allow playsets and trampolines.
