My husband and I are moving to Nashville in June and he is a big English Premier League soccer fan. Does anyone know of bars/pubs that show lots of soccer?
Also, any thoughts of where to look for a house? We are in our late 20's and would like to find an area that is young and "happening" in a reasonable driving distance from Vanderbilt, where I will be working...

It sounds like you might like the Midtown/21st Avenue/Hillsboro Village area, or one of the adjacent neighborhoods. Vanderbilt is in that area as well so it would make for a short commute.

Dan Mcguiness on Demonbreun Street advertises to come and watch Premier League games. Baily's downtown might be another place. As far as young and happening, East Nashville is a good choice if you are looking to buy a house. It's up and coming although and there are some crime issues there but there is a lot of great things that are happening over there. You would get more bang/appreciation for your buying buck. Hillsboro Village is right near Vanderbilt and is a great area, but houses are priced pretty high. Another area you might be interested in is the 12th South area. It's still in transition like East Nashville.
