Just saw in the NBJ that the terminal D extension is about to start. Satellite terminal is already well underway.

Default Cell Parking Lot

Does anyone know if BNA has plans to expand the current cell phone waiting lot? I know they added another one, but the location is not convenient at all. The current one is a disaster with cars trying to get in and out with no place to turn around.

I don't know, but hopefully because we really need a larger area.

Spirit Airlines is adding two more destinations out of BNA: Boston and Miami. Both will start in September. This makes the 4th airline to fly BNA-BOS (Delta, JetBlue, Southwest, Spirit) and the 3rd to fly BNA-MIA (American, Southwest, Spirit).

Silver Airways has started flying between Nashville and Greensboro NC.

Avelo Airlines has expanded to BNA with flights to New Haven CT and Wilmington DE. With the New Haven flights, there are now nonstop flights between BNA and all six commercial airports in the NYC area: JFK, LaGuardia, Newark, White Plains, Islip/Long Island, and New Haven.

Nashville International Airport continues to grow at a record-breaking pace. There are now 99 nonstop destinations out of BNA and 300 daily departures on 24 airlines. In the fiscal year which just ended, BNA saw 21.9 million total travelers, up 18.7% from fiscal year 2022.

May 2023 was a record-breaking month for BNA with 2,071,705 passengers. The new satellite concourse is nearing completion and should open in October, and the new International Arrivals Facility soon after.

Southwest has announced a new crew base at Nashville International Airport (BNA). This will bring 500-600 pilots and 500-700 flight attendants based at BNA. In addition, Southwest, which currently has 166 flights out of BNA to 57 cities, plans to add four more gates to the 16 it already uses at BNA in order to accommodate additional flights and destinations it will serve from Nashville.

Rebecca Schleicher from Channel 5 is reporting that the new international gates at BNA will open on September 27, and as early as next year we should hear announcements of flights to Paris and Frankfurt. She didn't say which airlines, only that Nashville is at the top of the list for several international carriers.

Anchorage based New Pacific Airlines is going to start service between Nashville (BNA) and Ontario, California. New Pacific is a low cost carrier that hopes to eventually funnel flights through Anchorage to the Far East.

This will make the sixth airline to fly between BNA and the four airports in the Los Angeles area:

BNA-Burbank: Southwest
BNA-Orange County: Southwest
BNA-Ontario: New Pacific
