Nashville now boasts the lowest unemployment rate of any large metro area in the nation — adding to the litany of stats highlighting the region's economic growth and the escalating recruiting battles among companies competing for talent.

Unemployment in the Nashville metro area, which includes Williamson, Rutherford and other neighboring counties, stood at 2.3 percent in October. That's according to data the U.S. government released on Nov. 30.

I work in finance in Little Rock and wife is in healthcare and getting her masters. Our combined income is $117k. I know if we moved to Nashville the lack of state taxes would help but how high are salaries in Nashville relative to COL

I don't think you would face pricing shock coming from Little Rock. I have people trying to relocate from Boston/NYC, etc.. they make $80k+ for administrative support type roles that pay $50k here. Your bills don't go down that much by moving here.
