Considering signing a lease at The Everly, which is the apartment complex adjacent to the train tracks that are right near The Factory in Franklin. My main concern is if the train comes at night (anyone ever see "My Cousin Vinny?" Yeah, trying to avoid that). If it runs during the day, I'm not concerned. Just don't want to be regularly woken up in the middle of the night, and can't seem to figure out what line it is to check the schedule. Anyone have any guidance they can offer?

I'm not sure there is a set schedule for that track. I lived in Franklin for 10+ years and got stuck waiting at that train crossing less than 5 times, so I don't think it is particularly busy.

That's the spur line that runs to the GM plant in Spring Hill. The schedule varies according to their production, but it is much less busy than the line that runs on the east side of town along Wilson Pike. It's probably twice a day if that often, mainly at night.

Since there is an at-grade crossing there on Liberty Pike, the train is required to signal as it approaches. Unless your unit is right next to the tracks, in my experience a fan or sound machine at night would keep you from getting awakened by a train horn.

I just heard it at 10:42pm. I've live 1 Mike from the Factory for 25 years. I love keeping my window cracked. Personally, I enjoy hearing it. I also think it's something you get used to and don't even notice after a while.

Added note. I'd say EMS would have to know the schedule. You may want to check with someone from the FPD, FFD, or ambulance service. If you find out, this seems to be a question asked others would like to know.
