So, we recently moved to Mt Juliet from Hermitage.. part of the reason is I was not happy with the schools my son would be attending in Metro. We are now zoned for Mt Juliet Elementary, Mt Juliet Middle and Mt Juliet High. My SIL told me last week that the schools in metro are exactly the same as Wilson- they are all run by the state and everything is the same. I thought each district ran the schools? She has me really confused now! From what I have seen, Wilson seems more aggressive than Metro but my son hasn't started yet so I really dont know.

So, what schools are better?

Wilson county schools are much better than Davidson county's if for no other reason than because they are not in Pedro Garcia's jurisdiction.

Schools are not run by the State, they are run by the County. Also, Pedro Garcia left the Davidson County school system many months ago and the system was in bad shape when he got there, not just when he left. You will probably be more pleased with Wilson County schools than Metro schools.

Between the two I would go with private or homeschool.
