Hello!
I am moving to Franklin next week...leaving San Diego, CA behind and alittle fearful. Is there really southern hospitality? or is TN really considered South??
Does anyone know of any non-denominational/forward thinking spirtiual groups/churches are?
Also....how about some great hiking trails?
oh...how are the bugs?? someone freaked me out and said they are plentiful and quite pesty....

Thanks!

Default Yes, Virginia, there is a Southern town for you

Yes, Southern hospitality is real, in my experience.

Oh yes, this is the South!

I love the hiking trails at Warner park and Natchez Trace. No shortage of places to explore.

The bugs are SO not a big deal. See the other thread about this.

I live in Franklin. Lots of church choices. Big, small, mainstream, fringe, huge media set-ups amd home worship too.

Good luck and welcome!!

Franklin is beautiful and a fun place. You'll find plenty of southern hospitality and what was so tough for me when I moved to the area was finding a church....because there are so many really good ones!!! As the other poster mentioned, there are plenty of places to explore...another good one is Radnor Lake...there are nice hiking trails there. Mosquitos can get bad in the summer, but nothing too bad or out of the ordinary for the climate. I really love San Diego...it'll be different, but it is great in Franklin.

A great church in Franklin is called the Vineyard. Also I was wondering how you found your home when you live in San Diego?
