Thanks!

The closest one is over on Centennial Blvd. (north of the White Bridge Road / Robertson Avenue exit of I-40).

If you need directions, let me know. That's the one I go to every year.

And just for future reference, the drivers license testing station is in that area as well.

Where you live you can either go by I-40, or just drive up 70S/Harding and turn onto White Bridge Road.

Here's the directions if you were going by I-40:
Take I-40 East towards Nashville,
Get off at the White Bridge Road/Robertson Avenue exit,
Turn left at the top of the ramp,
Ahead will be a congested area where the exit ramp from the other side of the Interstate gets off and where Robertson Avenue turns; go straight through these two intersections (stoplights),
This will put you on Briley Parkway,
Go about a mile and a quarter on Briley,
Go past the first exit (26A),
Take Exit 26B (go slow), and loop around and merge into Centennial Blvd. West,
Go about a quarter of a mile (you will go through the next couple of intersections),
Look for Westbelt Drive to your right (this will be about where the road narrows); there is a small sign pointing to the Emissions Testing Station,
The testing station will be just up the street on Westbelt.

On your way back, take the first on-ramp to Briley Parkway (it will be on your right) and this will take you back to I-40 or White Bridge Road/Charlotte Pike.

By the way, when you take Exit 26B you will see the old state prison over in the distance. This is where The Green Mile and other movies were filmed.

Thank you. Is this location near one of the DOT offices? It sounds like where I went when I registered my car. The emmissions office was just a block or so away from the DOT office.

Well, yes, the DOT headquarters for Tennessee is in the area. But you probably mean the motor vehicle/drivers license testing station, which is in that same general area as well. The Department of Revenue handles car registration. The emissions testing station is just a block or so down Centennial from where you turn to go to the drivers license testing station.
