I am from Cookeville originally, but am in Memphis now due to elder care issues. Hubby & I have one move left in us & would like to get back toward middle TN - probably within the next 2 years.

I work in IT and can work from home if high speed internet is available. If not, I don't mind driving to Nashville, M'boro or Huntsville.

We have no kids, but don't mind a family friendly area. (We are the suckers that buy everything that schools make these poor kids sell for fundraising) Don't hafta have a mall nearby, I am not a shopper.

Anyone have opinions on Woodbury? Or any other ideas? House doesn't hafta be fancy - may rent instead of buy. We just want an area that's stable & neighborly & not full of meth heads.

Thanks in advance.

Cool meth heads

Then don't come to Woodbury. Of course meth heads are everywhere these days, but we seem to have more of our share in this and surrounding counties. Woodbury is ok if you like backwoods folk and the country. Short drive to civilization. The pace is slow here and a lot of the folk that live here are too.,lol. Though it is beautiful and private.

I live in Woodbury right by Woodbury Grammer, and I have to tell you we are trying to get out of the town. We have lived in Cannon Co. since 1994, But only in town for 2 yrs and we have had a neighbor get mad at us because we had to call the cops on her dogs because we have three kids and her big dogs came into our yard and started grawling and causing a reckus. No we have been called on for everything and anything. The cops just left us with yet another ciation because I tags just expired on one of our cars that we can't afford to put tags on yet, with the hoildays. We have 48 hrs to tag it or get rid of it or we have to go to court and pay court cost and 50 a day until it is gone. So I would stay far away from Woodbury, But if you want I send you a pic of our house cuz we are getting out of this gosh for saken place. I sorry this is a rant but Woodbury is trying to be like Brentwood but yet trying to hold on to the old ways and the WPD has nothing better to do then harash people that is just trying to get thought these tough times.
