Global levels of carbon dioxide at highest point for over 2 *MILLION years | Daily Mail Online

Apparently there is the highest carbon dioxide concentration ever measured in the atmosphere now. Something like that. Pls read the article. I heard this on the news, but I didn't have time to listen to the entire story. Isn't high carbon dioxide concentration another way of saying that less oxygen is available. Plant some trees, people.

Setting aside the global warming debate you can relax. Carbon Dioxide levels are given in parts per million(ppm), currently it's 400ppm up from 300ppm a century ago. This can also be given as a percent, from 0.03% to 0.04%. Note that isn't 4 percent, it's .04 of one percent.

The human body begins to feel the affects of Carbon dioxide at concentrations exceeding 4%, death occurs at levels around 12%. If the current trend were to continue it would take another 40,000 years to reach that 4% level.

OK we'll see. I think that we work best with ample oxygen, and even if human beings are not "feeling the effects" it may be difficult for us to perform optimally. Just IMHO.

There is nothing to see, this isn't something that is debatable. It's a minute amount in this context. Furthermore CO2 spurs plant growth, subsequently oxygen production increases.
