I'm content having moved to Ogallala in Fall 2014. Safeway, Walmart, hospital in town of 5,000. Lake McConaughy is famous for its recreatioal opportunities and will likely get close to 200,000 visitors this July 4th weekend. Dunno about rentals, but home prices are reasonable. For big city activities Denver is a 3 hour drive on the interstate.
