We live in Maryland and are looking at moving to Las Vegas in about 2 years. We have been out many times and I love the area, so close to so many beautiful State and National Parks. (A dream for me!) Plus, we would be able to pay cash for a house and bring down our cost of living.

We have drove around looking at houses and neighborhood for the last year and a half. We loved the City Lights neighborhood, Stallion Mountain, and some of the areas in the North Las Vegas are. We were told Summerlin was a good area, but like most of the areas in a big city one street looks nice, then you go a block over and it's scary.

SO, my question is....

We are looking at the 100,000 price max, preferably no HOA, but if it's reasonable that's fine. So, we are not looking for a high priced neighborhood. We would like a nice working class area, that doesn't have a bunch of cars parked in the yards or graffiti on the walls.

Any suggestions are appreciated.
