i know some people who live on manzanita & others that live on lupin.

the intersection right there at florida & blagg is lower than the surrounding area, so yes that intersection will have water in it when the rest of the areas do not.

blagg rd itself is a bit of a busy thoroughfare, so depending on how close you are to it you will hear road noise. in general it's not a bad area. the closer you get to calvada the worse it gets.

if the house was built prior to 2005 - be careful! we did not have proper building codes prior to this time, which includes soil testing.

This is out in Pahrum which is about an hour away from Las Vegas.

Last time I was out in Pahrump it was a lot of trailer communities and that type of thing. They were getting their first walmart and Mcdonalds.

I'm sure they've grown a lot since then but I think you'd be better of with a house actually in Las Vegas or one of the surrounding suburbs.

I am not sure why anyone would want to live in that petri dish of despair called Las Vegas for the life of me. Overcrowded, nasty people, full of tourists who think anything goes, smog, smog checks on vehicles, higher taxes and traffic from hell.... the list could go on and on.

I guess we are a lot a like. You like where you live, I like where I live but then again we are different because I have lived in Las Vegas and know what I am talking about. I am not sure you ever lived in Pahrump and if you have it seems that your stated opinions may be from a few years or more ago.

Why would you think someone would be better off in LV without knowing their circumstances?

bob

Unmentioned also is that Pahrump is in Nye county, which has much less property taxes than Las Vegas, which is in Clark County. Having lived in both Vegas and Pahrump, I'll tell you Pahrump these days is 500 trillion times preferable than Vegas. Las Vegas is literally hell on earth these days with crime, traffic and incredibly rude people. Pahrump is dandy.
