If it is....I don't think it's that lonely. There can be a bit of traffic going north/south...

We'll be on 50 next week. I'll let you know how lonely that is...

This sounds great

That’s it’s nickname, but I think it is misleading. It’s really an interesting drive, it gets all twisty and hilly outside of Fallon and there are old ghost towns and mining relics along the way. You get into pinion forest before Austin and it’s pretty. These towns have historic pioneer and mining buildings from the booming frontier days downtown and Ely, a nice little museum.

I consider the drive from Vegas to Northern Nevada my personal loneliest highway though..lol.
I don't have a desire to live in the Las Vegas area or south part of Nevada. Carson City to Dayton to Fernley looks fine.

Not very lonely at all until you get a bit east of Fallon, and then lonelier still east of Middlegate.

That's what I thought and Fallon is even further than Fernley.
I wonder how long it takes at what speed to get from Fernley to Carson City or Reno/Sparks?
And or
From Dayton to Carson City and Reno?

I was looking at some cool bungalows in Ely.. was more afraid of lack of commercial airports and transport in general, than the fairly extreme cold.
