we'll be hiking Mt. Monadnock for the very first time this weekend. Should I camp at Greenfield or Mt. Monadnock state park?

I will be bringing 2 16 year olds and a 8 year old.

We had an awesome time and the weather was perfect. We ended up camping 20 miles from Monadnock at Greenfield State Park. Had my 8 year old nephew with me and he was able to climb the mountain like a little champ!

we camped at Greenfield S.P. a month or so ago...for the first time and we LOVED it. Great campsites - nice and level, not a lot of tree roots or rocks, large sites, plenty of bathrooms. The only "complaint" (not that it was a complaint really) that we had was there is only one bathhouse for a large campground, and a couple of the shower stalls didn't work very well.....but they were free. We had a blast though (great fishing if you like bass fishing BTW).
Good Luck and Enjoy
