Well, since Suzet mentioned that her geographic knowledge of NH was a little rusty, I thought it would be a good idea to put together some maps and give potential relocators a general layout of the land.
In this thread we can also discuss the differences between the geographic regions of NH and provide links to info / photos on different areas. Hopefully this thread will be a helpful resource.
Thank you for the info. I lived in N.H. for 48 years and was not sure if the cabin i just bought was considered the lakes region or the white mountain region. Now i know. Thanks
Wow awesome maps Verseau - especially the breakdown of regions! I wouldn't have thought of Barrington and Rochester as Lakes Region, but funny to see that but great to know!
It's funny how much you forget about the state until you see such a detailed layout of it.
This thread is going in my favorites for sure Can't rep ya yet - gotta spread the love !

i'm like mom, can't rep you but that info is awesome...great job on gathering all that....
Wow, that was really informative! I'm surprised to see that NH is a big mix politically, though my area is on the more conservative side. I didn't realize there were such large "blue" areas!
Thanks Verseau for posting all of that. I'll be referring to it again.

The 2006 elections were a strange time-due in fact to people taking their frustrations about the Iraq war out on their local statehouse rep. Not to mention the straight ticket voting that played a large part as well-luckily we will not have that anymore. I think it will be interesting to see what happens in November. Will some of the more traditionally conservative areas vote back in conservatives? Will the dems gain more or less seats? Grab some popcorn-it is going to be an interesting time.
The primary is a week from today.
