Hi All......any realtors or anyone that can help me find a rental house in
Bedford or Amherst? Family of 4, professional career, excellent credit,
references, only debt is one car payment, all our finances are in great
shape. Two elementary school aged daughters. We are financially able
to buy a house but prefer to rent for a bit. We are relocating back to NH from FL
for my husband's job, he is already there working. Renting for a bit would give
us time to figure out if we really want to be back in NH and time to look for
a house. Our monthly rental budget is around $2000 and a smaller house is fine
(around 1500 sq ft give or take). I've searched craigslist & nneren for weeks
and only a couple things have come up and they are gone almost immediately.....any
advice or help is much appreciated

I really prefer Bedford or Amherst for the schools, because my family is close by
and I have a few friends with young kids in those towns so it would make the
transition easier to be close to family & friends. My husband is working in Nashua.
I know there are other great schools & towns, but I would really like to try to
be close to friends & family. Thanks in advance.

Another thing is that if anyone has, or knows anyone with a home for sale in Bedford
or Amherst that is empty, maybe they would be willing to rent it to us on a short
term basis so the house doesn't have to remain empty over the Winter. We could
keep the house ready to show, they'd be making some money.....win win....

Check with a realestate web site or call realators in those towns.

A little birdie on FB told me that somebody here was looking for help (thank you!) so here I am For what it's worth, whenever I receive DM, a text is sent to my phone, so I can usually log in as soon as I get the chance

You don't need me to tell you that you're at a very tight price point for Amherst & Bedford. There are a few 3-br homes, but few & far between and any reasonably priced rental is snapped up in a matter of days. If you want, I can check with a few owners who have alreadu relo'd out of their homes and haven't yet sold. As long as they are not being handled by a relocation company, a Seller might be agreeable. Relo companies generally don't deviate from the list/sell script.

I think it's good that you're going the rental option before buying, to test out the winter... I think we're in for a good one, and I don't mean mild and snowless like last year. In many ways, having no snow cover can be even more dangerous-I know 2 people who slipped on ice and damaged their wrist by landing on the frozed solid ground. This is something that doesn't happen when you are trudging through the snow (there's always a bright side to point out!)

Thanks Val ~ I appreciate it. I know for sure that we are at a tight price point, I saw some homes in both towns for about $2400 - $2500 but they are at least 2500+ sq ft and we don't need/want all that space.....plus it probably costs a fortune to heat.

Try Goffstown.
Nice town with a variety of rentals.
Good school system.
Close to highways.
