I am looking for purchase health insurance for myself. I am self employed. Any suggestions?

Assurant Health and Blue Cross are I believe the only two you can purchase on an individual basis in NH.

Look at the state-sponsored New Hampshire Health Plan. It costs $$$$ but it is the only one I could find that would take me with "pre-existing conditions." If you are desperate enough, there might be a plan there for you.

There are a limited number of companies licensed to sell health insurance in NH. The list can be found here:

New Hampshire Insurance Department - For Consumers, Health Insurance Companies

Beware, one of them is actually a company that used to have a different name that has been barred from doing business in 29 states and been fined by several (like they had to pay $17 million in fines in MA) owing to shady business practices.

Another one we used to have and they are a total rip-off.

We now have Anthem BCBS and are happy with it.
