This poll seem manufactured to me. How does the average granite stater view the right to keep and bear arms? The fact that they polled the Center for Civic Engagement makes me think that this poll is meant to drum up support by polling people who already favor gun control.
I'm moving back to NH in 19 months (after the Navy) and I am worried that the infestation from Mass will push gun control in NH to the Left in the future. Anybody have any thoughts on if this could happen? Or thoughts on why it won't? Thanks.
Well, I hope not. I saw on the news the other night that the Democrats are already trying to repeal our "stand your ground" law. They had public comments and the majority were in favor of keeping the law in place, according to WMUR.
As an aside, Cabelas has pulled out of the big sporting goods show in PA because the sponsors didn't want to allow them to display any "assault" rifles. I'm buying something from Cabelas this week and sending a thank you e-mail.

Smith & Wesson did the same thing.
Read the link in the post above yours. Very active pro-gun site, has details for all the bills NH moonbats are trying to pass.
Thanks to the OP for posting this. I don't believe for a MINUTE that NH citizens 'overwhelmingly' support an "assault" weapons ban. Certainly nobody I know was called for this 'poll'! I am actually part of the infestation from Mass, and am fighting hard to keep our rights to protect ourselves, our families and anyone around us.
Reading through this article, the thing that stands out to me is this: The poll, conducted Jan. 21 and 21 by telephone, showed some difference in opinion among men and women. Men supported the idea strongly (64 percent to 34 percent) and women supported a ban by a wider margin (80 percent to 16 percent). The margin of error in this poll is 3.82 percent. This tells us that it's important to invite more women into gun sports, classes, etc. in a very non-threatening manner. I'll tell you from experience that it can be intimidating for a novice to walk into a store and ask questions. Even though I've had mostly positive experiences, there have been a couple of times that some bozo behind the counter will come across with a macho, know-it-all attitude... Something like this could put one more woman off enough that she never moves forward with the idea of learning to shoot, etc. The Women On Target classes are a good start, but I sure wish that there were more WOMEN's DAYS at local ranges, gun stores, etc.

Live Free or Die
Well at least you know WHY........Since 85 this state has been over run with flatlanders who are bleedin heart Liberals....
But i believe there are enough gun owners to staunch the tide...... maybe it's time to make life a bit harder on non gun owners. Like pass a few laws to burden their wallets if they refuse to own a gun for the defense of the state.
2 years ago knife laws were over turned and now blades can be as long as you like. You can be anyone and buy auto knives too, and several stores i know stock them.
NH state CONS mimics that of the Feds almost to the word....
So you have the Right to bear arms. We are Still a Open carry state, and you need no permits to buy or own. You just need to be of age which you are... The only other paper you need is a 10 dollar carry license that is renewed each 4 years. Currently as far as i know that is valid in 22 other states.
If course not Mass or NY, so we are land locked...... You may have other Mil related privilege, i wouldn't know.
This whole thing is getting over my top........ I think by late Spring if you see a motorcycle rider with a underfolder AK 47 on his back it will be me.. I think I will start open carry sooner..
The hand gun of the day will be loaded and i have the papers.... The long gun, that AK won't be loaded but the mags i have sure will. it's the making a point i want to do....
I don't have any plans to shoot anyone, unless of course they insist!
I am sick and tired of being attacked by the brain Dead gun grabbers! It's high time they paid the price.
