So I know there are lots of variables, but trying to figure out yearly propane usage for 2 people in ~2,000 sq feet.

I heard anywhere from 1000-1500 gallons. Any idea if that's about right?

thanks

Yes, as a SWAG the range 1000-1500 gallons sounds about right, with this past winter being on the high side.

Sounds about right. I used to use around 900 gallons for 1800 sf and we kept the house at 65 in the day, 58 at night.

They filled me with 1200 gallons for a 2000sf house but I still have about 200 gallons to go from last year. I have the house at67 daytime and 60 at night.

We used about 550 gallons last winter for 2200 square feet, keeping the temps at 67 during the day and 62 at night. It is a new build with spray foam insulation.

I would imagine around 1000 would be about right. I typically average 1500 gals for heat, hot water and a cooktop on a 4,000 sq. ft contemporary style house with high ceilings and a lot of glass.

We're very happy, although it definitely came at a price in that the spray foam was much more expensive than batts. Depending on the price of propane I think we will recoup our costs in 8-10 years.
