Greetings, I was wondering what would be some of the most appealing streets to start looking at houses for a larger family. Are there neighborhoods with homes on 1 acre, 2 acres but still have a subdivision feel? What about locations to middle school or high schools? I am from out of state so any help would be appreciated. What are the closest 2 or 4 year colleges in the area?

Well, Keene is a college town, so there are 2 AND 4 years colleges right there.

Keene has astronomical property taxes.....you might want to look at the surrounding towns.

So, what would be some of the recommended towns surrounding Keene. I drove through Keene last year on a trip through New England and thought the area was attractive. It appeared as though Keene had some of the major shopping stores. Which neighboring towns would have the "quaint" downtown shops and feel of a non "corporate" shopping experience?

Other than UNH, what are the other 2 or 4 year colleges within the area and what are those schools reputations?
