As a counterbalance to all the negative posts about "long, cold and never-ending winters in New Hampshire," I'm going to start posting photos and videos of fun adventures, activities, and outings in NH. Hopefully others will join me in this. A good friend of mine here in NH hates winter and has a perception that all anyone in NH does is "shut in" all winter, and watch TV and put on weight. I disagree with this. Me and many of my friends and acquaintances get out all the time and have a blast during winter.
Yesterday me and a friend hiked Mt. Hight up in the White Mountains. 8.8 miles of hiking and 3,188' of elevation gain. We were on the summit around sunset, and hiked down in the dark.
both those pictures are great, I love Winter in NH when it acts like winter, its the part after the foliage falls but before the snow falls and mud season which are the real NH downers.

That is GORGEOUS. I spent Thanksgiving at my parent's house in Long Island. Not as much snow as you guys, but I prefer this beautiful paradise than this 82 degrees Fahrenheit down here in Miami.
Here is some snowboarding in tree trails at Bretton Woods last winter. Think in a week or two I'll start riding again this winter. Cannon and Bretton are my go-to mountains.
I liked doing trails in the Ossipee Mountains in winter, and Red Hill can be quite enjoyable for those that don't prefer the more intense higher elevation treks.
Looks great, hopefully I'll be able to move back someday.
